The editor is a candidate


SINCE our first edition, Shunpiking has carried commentaries on public affairs and development. As many readers know, I not only used to be a features writer for the Toronto Globe and Mail but also have been prominently associated with Marxist-Leninist politics locally and nationally since the 1960s, as well as being active for peace and other just causes. With my increasing duties and responsibilities in the field of design and publishing, I have not been that politically active since chairing the successful No Campaign for Nova Scotia in the national October 1992 Referendum. Nevertheless, I am putting forward my name as a candidate in the current federal elections in Halifax with the platform of Stop Paying the Rich – Invest in Social Spending. Continue reading
