B’nai Brith – ‘the most outrageous, vile, dishonest and slanderous calumny uttered against the people of Canada’

How on earth can one tolerate this filth from B’nai Brith Canada? Criminalizing four million Canadians carrying the anti-Semitic ‘disease’? We’ve heard this kind of despicable propaganda before. ROBERT FISK in The Independent, London, UK.

Sunday 29 June 2014) – Not long ago, I was handed the most outrageous, vile, dishonest and slanderous calumny uttered against the people of Canada. It was contained in a full-page advertisement in the National Post (founder, Conrad Black), a newspaper handed out – free, I’m happy to say – on my Air France flight out of Toronto. Here is the headline: “Almost 4 million Canadians are afflicted by this disease.”

Beneath this title is a half-page, very blurred and uncaptioned colour photo of a large crowd – they could be football supporters, rush-hour commuters in Vancouver, you name it; they are mostly white males but include women and with at least one dark-skinned man close to the camera. Beneath the picture, this incredible ad continues: “Left unchecked, it [the disease] can result in violence tendencies. Many times, those infected haven’t been diagnosed and may pass it on to their children, grandchildren, colleagues or friends. Please help stop the spread of this disease before it contaminates your community.” Continue reading

Sighting. Mother Goose

Too many goslings May 25, 2014 039 copy

One misty, moisty morning, when cloudy was the weather, Laurel Marie Amirault of Pubnico chanced to meet a busy mother Goose. She snapped this image last week at Belleisle Marsh, near Bridgetown, Nova Scotia.

It’s hard to say exactly how many goslings this bird has in tow. I count at least 17, but there could be more.

Since the average brood size for Canada geese hovers around five, the experts on the Nova Scotia Bird Society’s Facebook Page, where Amirault posted the photo, speculated that baby sitting, adoption, or kidnapping was at play. Opinions divided as to whether one goose could successfully look after so many charges.

This is a fantastic time to follow the Nova Scotia Bird Society’s Facebook Group. Nova Scotia’s forests, fields, and waterways are bursting with new arrivals, and the many talented photographers in the group furnish a continual stream of gorgeous images.

You can make a difference! Influence the outcome of the Ontario election!

(Ontario Political Forum) Today is election day in Ontario. Polling stations officially open at 9:00 am and close at 9:00 pm.

In the closing days of the campaign a sort of hysteria has gripped the Liberals and their social base. This is manifested in non-stop robocalls calling on electors to “Vote Anything but Hudak” and “Vote Liberal Not NDP.” The absence of a champion capable of rallying the people around the austerity agenda of the ruling class has given rise to all kinds of attempts to manipulate the electorate into voting against their interests on the basis of fear-mongering or confusion-making. Will it give rise to the desired result of a Liberal majority government or a Conservative minority as per the expressed wishes of the various sections of the ruling circles? Tomorrow we will know.  Continue reading

Ontario election: A vote for Wynne is a vote for austerity

OPF* (June 10) – On the eve of the June 12 election the Ontario Liberals explicitly laid out the extortion of the electorate that they have been setting up since dumping the disgraced former leader Dalton McGuinty 16 months ago. The Liberal extortion demand was presented in an article written by Kathleen Wynne and featured as a June 8 op-ed piece in the Toronto Star under the headline, “A Vote for Horwath is a Vote for Hudak.” It is a shameful and cynical attempt to blackmail working people into voting against their own interests and knuckling under to four more years of Liberal austerity. Mocking the Israeli terrorist army

It can be said that one of the biggest achievements of Hizbullah is not only in the military realm but it is also in the realm of psychological warfare. Hizbullah so undermined the image of the “invincible” army and turned it into the incompetent, cowardly army that young Arabs now circulate images and videos of Israeli army terrorists looking like idiots (terrorist idiots, to be more accurate). This is one example.  I am so happy that I lived to the day when Arabs mock this terrorist army in addition to detesting it. (Thanks to Prof As’ad AbuKhalil, The Angry Arab News Service)
