Brave Bolivia declares Israel a terrorist state

Criminal states should be blocked and isolated, as Zionist Israel maneouvres to insinuate itself into the AmericasIsrael and Latin Ameria

(July 30) – Bolivia has declared Israel a “terrorist state” and revoked a visa exemption agreement with Tel Aviv in protest at the ongoing Israeli attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip.

The move “means, in other words, we are declaring (Israel) a terrorist state,” President Evo Morales said during talks with a group of educators in the Andean city of Cochabamba on Wednesday.

Morales added that the Israeli aggression shows “that Israel is not a guarantor of the principles of respect for life and the elementary precepts of rights that govern the peaceful and harmonious coexistence of our international community.” Continue reading

Nasrallah’s speech affirms unity between Resistance factions, warns of Western plots in the region

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah during a speech he delivered in Beirut’s southern suburbs on July 25, 2014 | Haitham Moussawi

Beirut (July 25) – Now is not the time to talk about disappointments and the past. It is more important for the Resistance to win in Palestine because its victory is a further step towards undermining the foundations of the other axis that protects Israel. The other axis includes not only the United States and a large part of the West but also a significant number of Arab regimes.

Hezbollah not only supports Hamas, it is willing to do whatever it takes to provide support. Continue reading

Ukraine and Israel: learning to shell civilians

Hennadii Nadolenko Ukraine’s ambassador to Israel, explains in an op-ed in Haaretz where the Ukrainian Army and militias learn how to shell civilians in Eastern Ukraine:

“For the past two weeks, my colleagues and I have found ourselves not as mere witnesses, but rather also unwilling participants in the recently inflamed conflict between Gaza and the State of Israel. …We had the opportunity to witness the action of Iron Dome, Israel’s missile defense system. We are closely monitoring the progress of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), ‘Protective Edge,’ in which the Israeli army is currently engaged […]

“Therefore, I would like to highlight that I, as a representative of Ukraine, appreciate the help that my state has received from the citizens of Israel over the past months. I express my deep gratitude to all the members of the group “Israel supports Ukraine” and, in particular, the volunteer group ‘Israel helps Maidan wounded’ for their support of Ukraine and Ukrainians.

“In these difficult days for our nations, overflowing with sad news, I would like to bow my head in memory of the Israeli and Ukrainian heroes who have died defending their people from terrorists.”

The massacre at al-Shujaiyya underscores Zionist crimes

2014.07.00.Massacreinal-Shujaiyya-cr3By PAULINE EASTON

The world continues to watch in horror as the Palestinian residents of Gaza are slaughtered by the Zionist occupiers of their land, while the residents of the West Bank are also wantonly killed for protesting. On July 21, the Occupation Forces committed a massacre in the al-Shujaiyya neighbourhood of Gaza city. As of 2 pm on July 26, medical teams had already recovered 85 bodies from the rubble. In addition to the killing of Palestinians, the massacre forced some 60,000 Gazans to flee their homes in the area for fear of more attacks, adding to a total number of internally displaced persons that has now hit 183,000 out of a population in Gaza of 1.7 million residents. All Palestinians, unable to flee due to the blockade of Gaza by land, sea and air, are targets of the Israeli onslaught. Continue reading

All out to support the victory of the Palestinian people in smashing the blockade of Gaza, ending the occupation of their homeland and affirming their right to be!

Mass action in Nablus, Palestine, July 24 defends right to be.

By K.C. ADAMS

The people of Palestine have been engaged in a courageous battle for their right to be since WWII. Following the war, the Anglo-U.S. imperialists decided to form a Zionist colonial entity in Palestine as a military base to strengthen their empire in West Asia and North Africa. The imperialist front provided arms, other assets and displaced people from Europe to occupy Palestine and force out the indigenous Palestinians from much of their land.

Using overwhelming military power, money and people supplied by Anglo-U.S. imperialism, a Zionist colonial entity occupied Palestine and negated the Palestinian people’s right to be. The Zionist colonial entity’s right to exist and defend itself has required the negation of the right to be of the Palestinian people, the theft of their land, their suppression and brutalization, and the continuing military occupation of Palestine. The most disinformed country on earth

Where the right to know the truth is systematically violated. MANUEL E. YEPE

Media-CulpaThe disinformation resources with which the U.S proclaims to the world its bonanzas, freedoms, equalities and humanitarian feelings are formidable. They have appointed themselves as judges and custodians of the civil and political rights of citizens of the Third World. Meanwhile, they trample on these rights in their own country and the rest of the planet; especially in those states considered adversaries because they do not docilely accept Washington’s global domination. CBC and Obama: Unacceptable

Some 400 people demonstrated at both CBC Radio and CBC TV buildings in Halifax on July 18th to denounce slanted media coverage of the massacre taking place in Gaza. Far from having reporters cover the event or sending out a representative to speak with the protesters, the CBC called security demanding that the demonstrators get off the property.

By KIM PETERSEN*

(July 19) – On Friday afternoon July 18th in Halifax, Nova Scotia, hundreds of people gathered in front of the building which houses Canada’s state media, the CBC. An article in the CBC of the same day explains why the people of Halifax were disgusted; its subtitle quotes United States president Barack Obama: “’No nation should accept rockets fired into its borders,’ Obama says of Israel’s ground push.”

How should the nations where the United States carries out drone missile attacks respond to such an utterance from Obama? Continue reading

Extensive war crimes in Eastern Ukraine: The voices of the innocent – ‘We haven’t got anywhere to run…’

Excerpt from a report by LANA ZORICHEVA, Radio Bergen correspondent:

LZ: Tell me, please, if the civilians tried to hang out any identification marks – the red cross flag or any flags so that they were not being bombed or shot.

A: It’s useless! We tried it many times. The grandfather took a white flag when he went with children. They were all shot. They do not respond to any signs. The most terrible thing for those whose homes are near the mines is that they are destroyed. In settlements and in the city there are tipper-offs who orient mercenaries of the Kiev junta to bomb certain objects – shops, mines, hospitals.

Today, not only the Russian mass media has raised the issue of the investigation of war crimes in Ukraine, but delegates of European media as well. Journalistic investigation led me to the Russian refugee camp, located not far from the place of military events. There is another world, though the planet is the same – the Earth. Water, food, light, absence of firing, a manifestation of humanity in everyday life allow people to feel safe again and with gratitude to accept the help and care in the neighbouring state. All that they have lost overnight, continuing to remain citizens of Ukraine. Continue reading

Truth about Israel’s latest war on Gaza: the energy rush

Israel’s war on Gaza has little to do with missiles or rockets fired by Hamas; the fact is Israel is after the vast natural gas reserves in the tiny strip. The zionist thieves want to lay their grubby hands on it. Hamas is seen as an impediment to this grand larceny, hence the brutal war to eliminate the resistance movement.

By CATHERINE SHAKDAM

The US official Geological Survey estimates that from Gaza’s coast to southern Turkey the eastern Mediterranean holds 122 trillion cubic feet of gas, comparable to the reserves of Iraq.

The US official Geological Survey estimates that from Gaza’s coast to southern Turkey the eastern Mediterranean holds 122 trillion cubic feet of gas, comparable to the reserves of Iraq.

London, crescent-online.net (July 21) – Israel has deployed its media machine, telling the world that it has “the right to defend itself“ against foreign aggression, arguing that no country should ever be made to tolerate systematic terror. Under international law such narrative holds no legal ground as Israel has been de facto occupying Gaza, rendering null and void the notion of Gaza as a foreign entity; little has been said of Israel’s real motives however.

To quickly settle Israel’s argument that it legally and morally can and should defend itself against any aggression coming from Gaza, it is important to understand that the Gaza strip is not under international law a sovereign state; it is occupied land, therefore Israel cannot declare war on the people of Gaza, rather it owes its people protection. CBC: Occupation? What Occupation?

I suppose it would have been rude to remind Kenney of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian land and its devastating siege of Gaza that has made life a misery for the 1.8 million Palestinians crammed into 365 square kilometres. Continue reading

Protest and destabilization in Venezuela: Following scripts that suggest a degree of premeditated coordination

The Obama Doctrine in action

STEVE ELLNER*, NACLA

Schemes designed to demonstrate that governments considered hostile to U.S. interests are ruthless and undemocratic span many decades and continents. There is one highly effective type of manipulation that is frequently employed: Peaceful protests are combined with violent ones as the media and opposition conflate the tactics used by security forces against the former and the justified use of force against the latter. The key actors in this display of deception know exactly what their role is and how to act in order to ensure success. Often, support for regime change opens opportunities for blatantly anti-democratic political movements, some of which employ terrorist tactics. Continue reading

Meshaal is head of the Hamas Political Bureau and he explains Hamas’ position vis-à-vis the current Israeli onslaught on Gaza and his organization’s position about the ceasefire and the broader situation. “Any initiative that doesn’t stop the aggression and end the siege on Gaza would not be acceptable to our people. That’s why the Egyptian initiative was rejected.”

Witness to an international crime: Israeli state terrorism in Gaza

Protest in Dallas, Texas

Protest in Dallas, Texas

“Protective Edge,” the cartoonish name given to the latest Israeli military offensive against the occupied people of Palestine, is representative of the inverted reality whereby the 1.7 million captive and largely defenceless Palestinians in Gaza are the vicious aggressors against the peace-loving settlers of Israel. Similar to the inverted reality in the U.S., where the myth of the innocent settler was created to justify the systematic slaughter of Indigenous peoples, the genocidal policies of Israel are camouflaged by the transformation of its position from an armed colonial invader to one of victim. Mass demonstration on Parliament Hill, Ottawa, on July 12, 2014

TML Weekly Information Project* (July 19) –  The Zionist state of Israel has started a ground invasion of occupied Palestinian territory with as many as 60,000 troops amassed at the Gaza border. This ground invasion is taking place in a desperate attempt to smash Palestinian resistance after their failure to smash it through a brutal two-week long campaign of daily aerial bombings, destruction of homes and mosques, a centre for the disabled and other civilian infrastructure, including water treatment facilities leaving many with no potable water. By the time the ground invasion started, more than 240 people had been killed and more than 1,700 injured, many of them women and children and, according to the United Nations, 80 per cent of them civilians. Crime against humanity: Israel destroys Gaza hospital

Along with prima facie evidence of war crimes and atrocities having been committed by the Israeli army in Gaza over the past ten days, whereby unarmed civilians including whole families with children have been executed with impunity by Israeli forces under authority of prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu, U.S. and Canada-backed Israel is destroying hospitals.

Fidel Castro: An unheard of provocation

THIS morning the cables were full of reports about the unheard of news that a Malaysia Airlines passenger plane had been hit at an altitude of 10,100 meters as it flew over Ukrainian territory, along a route controlled by the war-hungry government of chocolate king, Petro Poroshenko.

Cuba, which has always stood in solidarity with the Ukrainian people, and in the difficult days of the Chernobyl tragedy provided medical care to the many children affected by the accident’s harmful radiation, and is always willing to continue doing so, cannot refrain from expressing our repudiation of the action of the anti-Russian, anti-Ukrainian and pro-imperialist government.

At the same time, coinciding with the Malaysian aircraft crime, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, head of the nuclear state, ordered his army to invade the Gaza Strip, where, over the last several days, hundreds of Palestinians have died, many of them children. The President of the United States supported the action, describing the repugnant act as legitimate defense.

Obama does not support David against Goliath, but rather Goliath against David. As is known, young men and women from the Israeli people, well prepared for productive work, are being exposed to a death without honour, without glory. I am not aware of the Palestinian’s military strategy, but I know that a combatant prepared to die can defend even the ruins of a building, as long as he has his rifle, as the heroic defenders of Stalingrad demonstrated.

I only wish to express my solidarity with the heroic people who defend the last sliver remaining of what was their homeland for thousands of years.
