March 19, 2016 is the 13th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq initiated by the U.S., marking the beginning of a war that has killed more than 500,000 people. This year, the Trudeau government announced the extension of Canada’s involvement in the coalition that bombs and attacks the Syrian and Iraqi peoples since 2014. More than ever this escalation of violence in the Middle East in the name of “war against terrorism” must be opposed.
Let us unite to make March 19 a day for peace!

Groups around the world have called for demonstrations to say no to war and no to racism.
In Toronto the Coalition to Stop the War is meeting at the office of Liberal MP Chrystia Freeland to call for all Canadian troops to be brought home. They are calling for Canadians to stand up against this endless war.

Since 1993, hundreds of people living across Canada, of various ages, skills and backgrounds have enjoyed an exciting and informative two-week stay in Cuba with the Ernesto Che Guevara Volunteer Work Brigade.
