4th International Congress against Military Bases and Wars

September 25, 11:00 am – 5:30 pm CEST

We invite you to the 4th international congress against military bases and wars. We will discuss about the international political situation and how to enlarge our struggle against war machinery and warfare.

Corona changes many things including the structure and the arrangement of our congress. It will be a hybrid meeting with physical presence and video participation via Zoom. Anyone can take part in the video conference via zoom and participate in the discussion. Please register for the congress at info@ramstein-kampagne.eu . After registering, you will receive a link from us for participation. The event is in English. We would be delighted if there were lively participation, as it documents our international network and solidarity.

Key points of the international conference will be:

• the actual political situation and relevance of military bases and presence of war machinery in conflict regions worldwide

• what to do to come back to an international policy of cooperation

• Exchange of information about the actions against military bases in different countries in the world

• Analysis of social movements worldwide for cooperation in our struggle for disarmament

• Coordination for future common actions, specially how to strengthen the international anti-bases network

On Friday, September 25th At 7 p.m. it’s time again for the annual evening event of the Stop Air Base Ramstein campaign. This year, too, we have been able to attract prominent speakers who will speak on peace policy issues.

You can expect:

Gabriele Krone-Schmalz (journalist and publicist, former Moscow correspondent and presenter for ARD), Ekkehard Sieker (journalist, employee of the satirical program “Die Anstalt”, former employee of ARD magazine MONITOR), Dirk Pohlmann (journalist, Author and director of documentaries on ARTE and ZDF) and Andrej Hunko (Member of the Bundestag DIE LINKE).

Please note that this extraordinary year the evening weltnetz.tv will take place online on the weltnetz.tv YouTube channel. Just have a look on Friday, September 25th. at 19 o’clock on the YouTube channel or website of weltnetz.tv and the video clicks.
