‘Remembrance Day’ at Ukrainian Memorial Park in Etobicoke: Which veterans are the Canadian Forces remembering?

The open collaboration of the Trudeau Liberals and nazi-fascist forces. “Canadian soldiers did not fight in World War II to support the fascist cause: they fought to defeat it. Their participation in commemorations such as the one which is organized every year in Etobicoke undermines their integrity and the honour of all Canadians who gave their lives in the anti-fascist war. It deserves a public outcry against it” | Tony Seed

Cadets from Royal Military College, as well as representatives of the Canadian Armed Forces, participate in “Ukrainian Remembrance Day,” in Etobicoke, November 11, 2015, alongside supporters of the fascist Ukrainian formations from World War II and supporters of neo-Nazi organizations that are part of the current coup regime.

This day. 2014, Donbass and the politics of provocation

One of the most touching pictures from our civil war in Ukraine. ‘That’s mom’s birthday”, 2015, Donetsk. The boy’s eyes are quite telling.

On May 26, 2014  Alexander Turchinov – a leader of Euro-Maidan in Ukraine and interim president of the new coup government until the May 25 election – ordered the armed forces to launch air-strikes against rebellious cities in the Donbass. Continue reading

2014.The SU-25 attack aircraft over the railway station in Donetsk

The SU-25 attack aircraft over the railway station in Donetsk on June 2, 2014 | Sputnik

By Rostislav Ishchenko

Five years have passed since that memorable day when on June 2, 2014 an attack jet of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a blow on the building of the Lugansk regional state administration. It wasn’t the first episode of the use of aviation in the civil war in Donbass. Military jets passed at low heights and broke the sound barrier over the residential quarters of the cities, intimidating the population. Continue reading

Feared female Soviet snipers, Nazi killers

Major Lyudmila Pavlichenko of Ukraine – her total of confirmed kills during World War II was 309, including 36 enemy snipers.

“In Canada she was presented with a sighted Winchester rifle now on display at the Central Armed Forces Museum in Moscow. How AFP creates “anti-semitism” to criminalize dissent

This, by Agence France Presse (AFP), is one of the most misleading propaganda efforts I have ever seen.

The headline:

Ukraine run by ‘miserable’ Jews: rebel chief

Eighty per cent of the readers will not read more than that headline. Continue reading

Ukrainian SS allowed to march to the Cenotaph in London, UK

Fist-smashing-Nazi graphicMore and more evidence emerges that the Remembrance Day and other “commemorations” of the centenary of the first world war are being used not to honour the war dead – with a commitment to opposing aggression and war as a means to resolving conflicts so that no more lives are lost – but to provide a rationale for the Anglo-American government’s continuing commitment to fascism and war in the service of monopolies and imperialism. In Britain, those involved in such “commemorations” now openly include the Ukrainian Nazis.

Veterans of Hitler’s SS and their supporters are marching this Sunday, 16 November 2014, to the cenotaph in London, in commemoration, they claim, of Ukraine’s fallen ‘in all wars’. The organisers – the ‘Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain’ and the ‘Congress of Ukrainian Youth’ – include associations of veterans of the Ukrainian Nazi volunteers ‘Waffen SS Galicia’, some 5,000 of whom settled in Britain (and Canada – editor) after the Third Reich’s defeat in World War II.  Continue reading

Graphic details. CNN’s imperialist geography (1)

CNN Geography Ukraine.jpg

The highly educated and famous CNN keeps on astonishing viewers about Ukraine. On May 12, one day after the refendums in eastern Ukraine, CNN placed the city of Luhansk, capital of the new Luhansk republic, approximately in the place of Kiev, capital of Ukraine. CNN’s new political geography reflects the imperialist disinformation as to the cause of the anti-Kiev, anti-fascist resistance sweeping the region: CNN places the city of Donetsk, capital of Donetsk republic, a few hundred kilometres to the northeast from the real locale of the historic working class city. Other monopoly media are as ignorant in their arrogance, or worse. This must be really insulting to the people of Ukraine, when those who can’t even find you on a map think to teach you how you must live or lie about the situation in your country. Continue reading
