The continued attempts of the Trudeau government to erect an anti-communist monument in Ottawa have been opposed by Canadians right from the start. It has been one deception after another as the organization, Tribute to Liberty, failed to raise the funds to cover the cost of the monument which was projected at first to be $1.5 million.
A National Capital Commission spokesperson recently stated that the cost of the monument is now $7.5 million. Six million dollars is coming from public funds after Chrystia Freeland included an additional $4 million in this spring’s budget to complete the monument.
(July 11, revised July 19) – The world has been saved from an England-France Brexit final at the 2018 World Cup, renditions of “Three Lions” and “Rule Britannia” in the stadiums, and the tsunami of British chauvinism unashamedly embraced by the Canadian sports media.
What goes around, comes around. The dodgy English threw their final match in the opening round with Belgium back on June 28 with the pretext of resting players and avoiding injuries for the Round of 16. “Sometimes, you have to make decisions with the bigger picture, and that’s what I did tonight,” rationalized head coach Gareth Southgate at the time – as if the decision was his and his alone. That bigger picture seems to have included getting a better draw in the knockout stage, that is, to avoid Brazil and therein build the betting pool, the TV market, the revenues of the English Football Association, and “hearts and minds” diversion from the crisis at home – giving a new definition to match fixing and a level playing field. Such are the elastic ethics of England. Continue reading →
Canada, the US and Ukraine were the sole countries that voted against the United Nations anti-Nazi resolution condemning the glorification of National Socialism and Nazi collaboration. Germany, Britain and the other EU countries where, with growing frequency, notorious Nazi collaborators are being publicly honoured, “abstained.”

BERLIN/NEW YORK (Own report) – The Federal Republic of Germany refused to vote in favour of a United Nations resolution condemning the glorification of National Socialism and Nazi collaboration. Last week, the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly passed a resolution strongly criticizing the edification of memorials to Nazi functionaries and the stylization of Nazi collaborators as “freedom fighters.” Germany and the other EU nations abstained, the USA, Canada, and Ukraine voted against the document, with 115 nations voting in favour. Berlin and Brussels use the excuse of not wanting to support a resolution initiated by Russia. In fact, a vote in favour of the document would have caused hefty disputes within the EU, and between the EU and important allies. With growing frequency, notorious Nazi collaborators are being publicly honoured in such EU countries as Hungary or the Baltic countries and in Ukraine, in some cases by officials of the respective governments. The garbled slogans and ravings of the Ukrainiannationalistsare straight from the Intermarium playbook | Dr JONATHAN LEVY*
Although Inermarium is an old concept, its modern significance is shown by the map, which was published by Stratfor, the corporate intelligence firm linked to the CIA, in 2015. It which views Turkey as the southern anchor of the Intermarium, a network of allies including Lithuania, Poland, Ukrain and Romania that occupy Russia’s European rim and have a collective interest in working with the US-NATO bloc to pressure Russia.–TS
(March 1) – Political scientists attribute the Ukraine crisis to competition between Russia and the West or East Ukraine versus West Ukraine. While these simple explanations have their merits, there is much more at stake; nothing less the long planned absorption of Ukraine into the Intermarium and the break-up of Russia into toothless mini states.
