What

Six years ago, Israeli occupation forces targeted the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) in one of the deadliest military offensives against the two million Palestinians living within the besieged enclave. The conflict left 2,251 people dead, with more than 11,000 wounded, according to Palestinian and UN sources. A further half a million Palestinians were displaced. Six years on, the UN has complied an extensive report on the scale of destruction to Gaza’s higher education facilities during the 50-day onslaught which began 8 July 2014. Continue reading

Trump’s Deal of the Century: Resurrecting the PLO Is Palestine’s best response

Protest in Gaza City, March 6, 2019, against Trump’s “Deal of the Century.”

By RAMZY BAROUD

Palestinian groups, Fatah, Hamas and others should not confine themselves to merely rejecting the Trump Administration’s so-called ‘Deal of the Century.’ Instead, they should use their resistance to the new American-Israeli plot as an opportunity to unify their ranks. Continue reading

Oppose the genocidal onslaught of the Zionist occupiers!

On the Important Questions of War and Peace

Demonstration in Ottawa at the Canadian parliament, July 26, 2014

Demonstration in Ottawa at the Canadian parliament, July 26, 2014

By PAULINE EASTON

THE genocidal onslaught of the Zionist Occupiers against the Palestinian people has entered its fourth week. Their war crimes and crimes against humanity are mounting day by day. So too is the massive disinformation of the American, Canadian and European official circles and monopoly owned media. This disinformation would have us believe that the genocidal onslaught of the Israeli Zionists against the Palestinian people is not a war crime committed by the occupiers of Palestinian lands who are engaged in state terrorism. On the contrary, they would have us believe that Israel is a modern democratic state exercising its right to self-defence against terrorist attackers.

These official circles and media shamelessly blame the Resistance for the violence of the Zionists. They call the wholesale killing of civilians, which are crimes of genocide, “unfortunate accidents” in an otherwise just cause to wipe out “terrorists.” Time and again, the media blame the Resistance for destroying any chance of a “peaceful final solution.” In fact, the very thought that the genocidal crimes of the Zionist Occupiers “protect Israeli civilians from Palestinian attacks” is irrational. Ceasefire scam

[Pepe Escobar] Western corporate media is hysterically peddling a ceasefire in Gaza proposed by Egypt. I have definitely confirmed the text was concocted by Phantom of the Opera Tony Blair, former (failed) Quartet Middle East envoy, and then shown to Sisi and co. NO Palestinian – not to mention anyone from Hamas – was consulted; no wonder they rejected it. The fact that Israelis instantly accepted it spells out everything one needs to know about the scam.

At the start of the confrontation between the Resistance and Israel, the latter had absolute supremacy in using psychological warfare against the Palestinians. Ahmed Hadi informs that the armed Palestinian Resistance factions have since worked to improve their capabilities in information and propaganda, creating a counter-deterrent using the Internet and the language of the other side.

english.al-akhbar.com (July 11) Gaza IN CONJUNCTION with the physical warfare between Palestinian Resistance factions and Israel, the two sides are also engaged in psychological warfare, with a view to weaken and overwhelm the home front of the other side. No doubt, the two sides often hit and often miss, but in general, the Resistance’s communicators have sent out effective messages this time, even outdoing Israel, which has only rehashed its old propaganda seen in every previous round of conflict so far.

Military psychology experts say that the new development in this context is that the Palestinians are no longer afraid of the leaflets dropped by Israeli warplanes in order to turn the civilian population against the Resistance or force civilians to evacuate their homes, especially along the border areas.

The Resistance has launched a strong assault targeting the morale of the Israeli public, broadcasting videos in Hebrew focusing on its military capabilities, including its medium-range rocket arsenal and amphibious commandos. The Resistance has also called on Israelis to evacuate their homes, and hacked websites to display its messages. Recall that during the last conflict in Gaza, the Resistance had leaked the names and numbers of thousands of Israeli army officers.

Israel: Disinformation used to launch state terror

Ruins of a building struck by Israeli airstrikes in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, July 8, 2014.

TML Daily (July 9) – Since June 13, the Zionist government in Israel has been spreading disinformation about the case of three Israeli youth, 16-year-olds Naftali Frenkel and Gilad Shaar and 19-year-old Eyal Yifrac, whom the government initially reported as being kidnapped by forces linked to the Hamas government of Gaza. On this basis, the Zionists launched “Operation Brother’s Keeper,” on June 13 allegedly to recover the youth. This massive campaign of state terror has seen more than 2,200 house raids and more than 700 arrests, including many youth. According to Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, as of July 4, 475 Palestinians are still detained while 170 have been placed under administrative detention.

Widespread resistance demands a Free Palestine: End Israeli occupation and aggression!

Palestinian youth fight back against heavily armed Israeli Defense Forces in the Shufat neighbourhood of Jerusalem, July 3, 2014.

Widespread resistance is unfolding in Palestine in response to the U.S.-backed mass arrests, indefinite detention and bombing raids by Zionist Israel. Using the kidnapping and killing of three Israeli teenagers on June 12 as justification to unleash retribution against the Hamas government of Gaza, who they call a terrorist organization, the Zionists have once again unleashed a murderous assault mainly against Gaza but also the West Bank.
