Fidel Castro on John McCain, the Republican Candidate, February 2008

The death of US Senator John McClain on August 25 is being manipulated to once again push slanderous accusations that POWs in Vietnam were tortured by the internationalist Cubans – using the nickname Fidel to identify one of them, who was capable of “torturing a prisoner to death.” For the information of readers, we are reproducing the full five-part essay by Fidel Castro written in February 2008 refuting the slanders of McCain as well as analyzing the nature of his Republican presidential candidacy. For convenience, all are placed on a single web-page. All of the five parts, in all of the languages to which they’ve been translated, are linked at the bottom of this page. Continue reading

More revelations on the subversive operations of the Turkish intelligence agency MIT against Syria

Erdogan-ISIS Turkey detains soldiers and intelligence agents over seizure of Syria-bound arms shipments. “Is this evidence of a highly organized fifth column within the Turkish military and state apparatus?” The Harper government is involved | TONY SEED

No war on Syria(Revised and updated May 23) – Turkish authorities have arrested dozens of military and security personnel from the National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) in an ongoing investigation of weapons shipments from the NATO bloc country to terrorists in Syria. The sensational development reported by Middle East Eye and regional news agencies (see below) reveals a fierce struggle within the Turkish power structure.

A subsequent Reuters report – Exclusive: Turkish intelligence helped ship arms to Syrian Islamist rebel areas – confirms the MEE report:

Testimony from gendarmerie officers in court documents reviewed by Reuters allege that rocket parts, ammunition and semi-finished mortar shells were carried in trucks accompanied by state intelligence agency (MIT) officials more than a year ago to parts of Syria under Islamist control.

ISIS takfiri terrorists: McCain-Obama’s offspring

Despite propaganda, the ISIS-takfiri terrorists are being supported, trained and armed by the US, NATO and its regional puppets. Washington just signed an agreement with Turkey to train “moderate” rebels to fight in Syria. Isn’t this what the US has been doing in Jordan for more than two year? ZAFAR BANGASH*

Syrian graphic

The horrific video released on February 3 showing the burning death of Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh has sent shockwaves throughout the world. Such barbarism has few parallels in history and certainly none in Islamic history. Islam expressly forbids such cruel punishment despite the demented logic of the takfiris who go by different names: Da‘ish, ISIS, ISIL or even IS. Continue reading

Syria’s UN Ambassador Bashar al-Ja’afari on sovereignty, terrorism, and the failure of the UN

Dr. Bashar al-Ja’afari, a veteran diplomat and Syrian Arab Republic Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations | Al-Akhbar English/Eva Bartlett

On January 8, in his sparsely-furnished New York City office, the Syrian Arab Republic Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Bashar al-Ja’afari, sat down with Al-Akhbar for an interview. Fluent in four languages (Arabic, French, English and Persian), diplomat for three plus decades, Dr al-Ja’afari had much more to say than the generous half hour allowed or what the monopoly media will report. The distinguished diplomat has held his position at the UN since 2006, and lives restricted to a 25-mile radius of New York City. Defiant as always, he discussed the challenges he faces at the UN, explained why the organization has lost its way, and censured Western states and media for their hostility toward the Syrian government.

Is Washington training an insurgent army to ‘occupy’ Syria?

Is the US planning the occupation of Syria by training an unconventional insurgent invasion force? MAHDI DARIUS NAZEMROAYA*

2013.09.09.USDCSyriaAntiWar-CherylLaBash-01cropTHINK regime change in Syria is off the drawing board? Think again. The bombing of the ISIL or ISIS in Syria is part of a brinkmanship campaign leading up to a potential non-conventional invasion, parallel to the re-introduction of the US military to Iraq.

The ISIL and the other anti-government forces in Iraq and Syria are not the only ones to disregard the Iraqi-Syrian border drawn by the British and French by Sykes-Picot in 1916. The US also disregarded the border and international law when it began to illegally bomb Syria. Continue reading
