The New York Times’ longtime nuclear power reporter, Matthew Wald, has announced that he’s been hired as the senior director of policy analysis and strategic planning for the Nuclear Energy Institute, the chief lobbying arm of the nuclear industry. Investigative reporter Karl Grossman wrote a piece a few years ago on the ties between the Times and the nuclear power establishment that go back to the dawn of the Atomic Age.  Continue reading

One of the top journalists to report on Palestine-Israel has died.

Donald Neff passed away on May 10 in his hometown of York, Pennsylvania, at the age of 84. The cause of death was heart disease and diabetes.

Neff was a luminous writer and meticulous reporter. From humble beginnings, he had reached the top ranks of American journalism. When he then turned his formidable talents to writing books and articles about Palestine, his contracts with mainstream American publishers dried up, his income plummeted, and his fame faded. Time magazine’s 2014 Person of the Year: Ebola fighters

Time magazine has selected the Ebola fighters, who have fought to contain the Ebola outbreak, as its 2014 Person of the Year.  


Cuba, the first country to respond to the call for Ebola fighters now have over 400 health professional in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea. Continue reading
