(August 2, 2017) – The Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) expresses its whole-hearted support for the Venezuelan people in their struggle to defend the Bolivarian Revolution and the sovereignty of the Bolivarian Republic against foreign-inspired violent opposition forces.

We wish them the greatest of success with their completely legitimate process to create a new constitution that will express the true aspirations of the people today and allow them to create a society that will continue to make advances in improving the lives of the people. Continue reading

Venezuelan parliament passes law to 
confront US aggression

Fidel Castro: True Friendship



Yesterday I received a visit from the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, who made a trip abroad related to the defence of his country’s important oil interests.

During his stop in Cuba, he took the opportunity to make contact with me and greet me personally, as he had promised, on August 13 of this year, when I had the privilege of reaching 88 years of age. That day he presented me with some fruits, among them, some small pearl like ones, which I had never even seen before and which taste excellent. He also presented me with a sports uniform, a gift from the Venezuelan athletes seeking to win laurels for their country.

I was extraordinarily happy that he made the visit so soon, not only for the honour which his presence and quick action imply, when he is involved in the difficult task of carrying out the epic struggle of Hugo Chavez, as well as the exceptional actions he is carrying out. Continue reading

Venezuela’s Maduro launches ‘SOS Palestine’ campaign to demand end to Israeli bombardment

Mérida, July 12th 2014 – Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro has launched an “SOS Palestine” campaign to demand an end to Israel’s ongoing bombardment of Palestine’s Gaza strip.

President Maduro was democratically elected on 14 April 2013, says the release(Feb. 14 ) – RIOTS that occurred in Caracas and other big Venezuelan cities on Wednesday after student manifestations had the goal of toppling the government, President Nicolas Maduro (pictured) said Thursday in a televised address to the nation.

“Criminal violence was unleashed for the purpose of soaking Venezuela with blood, and the political objective was to topple the government,” Maduro said. “The fascists who took part in the manifestation” had a plan to break through to the Presidential Palace, he indicated. Continue reading

Bolivian president to sue U.S. for crimes against humanity

RT (September 20, 2013) – BOLIVIAN President Evo Morales will file a lawsuit against the US government for crimes against humanity. He has decried the US for its intimidation tactics and fear-mongering after the Venezuelan presidential jet was blocked from entering US airspace.

“I would like to announce that we are preparing a lawsuit against Barack Obama to condemn him for crimes against humanity,” President Morales said at a press conference in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz. He branded the US president as a “criminal” who violates international law. Continue reading
