I am proud to again stand as a candidate for the Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada (MLPC) in the riding of Ottawa Nepean in the 2015 federal election, as well as to return to Ottawa, the city where I became politically active during the Sixties.
I would like to invite everyone to read the program that the Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada is putting forward in this election and that I am running on. It is available in more than 15 languages with more being added. The MLPC is fielding 70 candidates in this election, all working people and youth who fight to empower the people.
The program calls for
- A new direction for the economy that upholds public right, not monopoly right
- An end to paying the rich and to immediately increase funding for social programs
- Renewal of the political process and a modern constitution
- Defending the rights of all
- Ending colonial injustice and
- Establishing an anti-war government, among other things.
Please make the program available to your co-workers, family and friends and ask them to do the same.
I may be reached at (e-mail): email@example.com – or visit Tony Seed on Facebook.
Introducing this website and my work
I am a journalist/publisher, longtime political activist and amateur historian, formerly resident of Halifax, Nova Scotia and for the past five years in Blantyre, just south-west of the beautiful small harbour town of Meaford on Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada.

I am no blogger! Throughout my life I have always written as part of joining such collective work as Shunpiking Magazine (1996-2009) to solve definite problems facing people.
I initially created this website during the 2010 federal election to publicize my views and the missing voice of the working class, and to break the cordon sanitaire of the monopoly media and the political cartel. It was intended to last just for the duration of that election.
The response was such that, in the absence of any similar space in our Maritimes region, I decided to forge ahead and build on what had been achieved with what I described as “a work in progress.”
This modest weblog has steadily grown. As of September 25, 2015 the blog contains 1,623 articles as compared to 347 items on July 6, 2011, along with 863 comments.
Ten different websites in Canada posted “Shipbuilding yes, but not the militarization of shipbuilding”. This illustrates a need for enlightened information and a desire to raise the level of the political discourse. I recommend reading the Renewal Update, online newsbulletin of the MLPC published from Monday to Friday. It was a great joy to see Renewal Update begin publication in January; it calls on everyone to engage in bringing about the democratic renewal of the political process as an important measure that empowers the people.
Through October this blog will feature news and commentary on the Federal Election 2015.
The particular focus is of this weblog is international relations and the foreign and military policy of Canada. The questions of the media, journalism and disinformation; falsification of history; espionage and subversion by the big powers; Palestine, Syria and Cuba; and the defence of the rights of all are consistent preoccupations. I am adding resource materials on the important question of war preparations and to highlight the significance of the No Harbour for War programme, which was launched by myself and my colleagues in the early 1980s in Nova Scotia and in which thousands of Haligonians have participated.
I welcome comments, reports, articles and photographs at (e-mail) firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for visiting!

Friendship First, Competition Second
I have initiated a second weblog entitled Friendship First, Competition Second at http://amateursport.wordpress.com. It is based on a simple principle: sport, arising from the people, belongs to the people by right, and should be taken back into their hands.
In a nutshell, as I wrote in 1999: “Sport mutates and the masses are reduced to spectators of gladiators in the arena when profit, commercialism and international domination is the goal. In our view, the defence of amateur sport necessitates combating the narcosis and disinformation of sport as ‘entertainment’ – an instrument of annexation by the United States, and the neo-liberal, anti-social offensive of the powerful monopolies and corporate sports media of the rich.”
I am an enthusiast of amateur sport, co-author with Curtis Coward of the bestseller The Kids’ Baseball Book (New Media Publications: 1994), president of the Nova Scotia Cricket Association for almost 20 years, player for 23 years in the Metro Mens’ Masters Basketball League since its founding in 1987, and a certified coach in three sports.

It does not help when you repeatedly try to publish the same comment over and over again filling up the spam queue. It just makes it more labourious for me to clean up the queue.
One issue folks: Everything happening in this world must be the result of the deft work of the Zionists, the British royals, the freemasons, the Jews, Rothschilds, Islam, the Pope, the Communists, or who/whatever your favourite personal demon is. Sorry, the world is not that simple. If that fact is beyond your mental capacity go elsewhere. Such simple-minded worldviews do not help to gain knowledge but detract from the discussion of the issues at hand.
